Engineers in rheological development, actually originated from the former Pruefgeraete-Werk
Medingen (until 1950 Haake company), founded Paar-Physica Messtechnik GmbH in 1992. The
establishment was based on an agreed cooperation with two partners - Anton Paar and
Physica.
In 1996, after years of successful activities, a special new situation required changing the
company structure. As a basic result of this renewal
RheoTec Messtechnik GmbH were founded as an independent company.
The continuously company advancement provided a basis for balanced growth. In summer of
year 2003 the people of RheoTec had everything prepared to move into the new company
building on industrial site Ottendorf-Okrilla near Dresden.

At the end of 2008 RheoTec became an independent subsidiary of the world wide successful operating company Brookfield Engineering Laboratories (Middleboro/USA).

Central business operations are development and production of
laboratory- and process viscometers. In addition, sales and comprehensive servicing of the whole RheoTec and Brookfield viscometer range are other fields of activities.
